I was born and raised in Newport Beach, California where our summers were spent at the beach swimming, collecting sea shells and sea glass and bringing my treasures home to make something fun and original to give as gifts to my family and friends.

16 years ago I decided it was time for a change and packed up my car and moved to the mountains of Aspen Colorado where I now live with my husband and 4 1/2 year old son. The beach gave me the creativity of making things with shells and glass and now the mountains give me a completely different perspective with the amazing blue sky and the colors of the rocks and soil giving me fresh ideas in each new design.

I started making jewelry for my own personal wear and to give as gifts to friends and relatives and eventually I started selling the pieces off my neck to friends in passing. When I was asked to see what else I had I started making more pieces and began selling them to husbands and boyfriends to give as gifts and friends that wanted something unique to wear that no one else had. This is how sherrill designs started.

Everything piece of jewelry I design is a unique one-of-a-kind piece hand made using semi precious stones, precious gemstones, sterling silver, gold, and vintage pendants, charms and pieces. I hunt for unique vintage pendants and unusual items at Estate sales and Antique Shops.

I also have a recycle program for old jewelry that might have a broken clasp or chain or maybe it is just out of date and needs to be revamped. People send me the old parts and I re-design it to make it new again.

After years of selling my handcrafted designs to only those who knew me or new of me, I decided to venture out with my own website so that everyone could wear and enjoy what I love to make. I take pride in every piece and hope that you will love wearing it as much as I loved making it!
